How to grow baby villagers

Villagers, like every other mobs have their own movement patterns. They find paths around obstructions and they tend to avoid some harmful blocks and walking off cliffs. However, in crowded situations it is possible for one villager to push another off a cliff or into harm…

If a villager finds itself outside the village boundary, or a villager without a village detects a village boundary within about thirty two blocks it will move quickly back within the boundary. A villager having taken more than thirty two blocks away form it’s village’s boundary will forget the village within the next six seconds and find another as villagers are never prone to despawning…

Villagers are considered as one of the most intelligent of all peaceful mobs.. However, there are some factors that they are pay no attention to… Villagers realize the day-night cycle as well. They are not fond of water, and unlike the other peaceful mobs, they will immediately attempt to find a nearby escape route.

Villagers have different variants and these are what distinguishes them from each other just as humans who are distinguished by their characters and temperaments… These variants include the following :

  • Zombie Villagers

Zombie Villagers also spawn naturally in the same condition as a normal zombie. They can turn a villager into a zombie when it kills the villagers and this also depends on the difficulty, that is, zero percent for an easy target, fifty percent on a normal target and one hundred percent on a hard target…

  • Nitwit

Nit_wit are green robed villagers who are unable to acquire a profession or trade. Nit_wits,along with bats are the only mobs that do not have a purpose other than liveliness in the area.

  • Illagers

Illagers are hostile villagers_like mobs that spawn in woodlands mansions. There are obviously five kinds:vindicators, Pillagers, Raid Captains, Evokers and Illusioners..

  • Witches

Witches are hostile villagers_like mobs that spawn rarely in the overworked according to the usual mob spawning rules. They spawn exclusively in witch huts or spawn from a villagers struck by lightning…

Breeding Process

Breeding Process occurs when two willing villager go into love shack to produce a baby villagers. Unlike other breedable mobs, breeding cannot be forced except it’s willingly..However,ideal accommodation like beds and food to make the process efficient must be provided.

The decision for a villager to show the heart signs depends on the willingness… If two villagers nearby are willing at the same time, they will spawn a baby villagers in between then like other animals or breedable mobs…

The factor of willingness is important in breeding but lso importantly is the food being fed to the parents. Villagers breed autonomously, but need doors and need willingness to be able to spawn baby villagers..

There are various steps to enable villagers breed/spawn baby villagers and these steps:

  • Finding a village

Villages generate at random locations.. All one need to do is to stay patient and look around for a while to find a village with at least two villagers in it…

  • Building of a structure to hose the villagers

Building a structure could be optional but this keeps the villagers from wandering off and it also protects them from hostile mobs and raiders. The structure suitable enough to accommodate the villagers you intend to breed as well as  beds for all villagers you intend to breed and the offspring they produce.

In the process of building a structure, the windows need to be covered with either glass or iron bars to prevent baby villagers from escaping as they can escape through open gaps and spaces in the structure. Also, doors should not be built as villagers can open and close doors instead fence gates should be built to prevent them from escaping.

  • Crafting of beds and placing them in the structure

In order for villagers to conveniently breed well, they need a bed each for themselves and the baby they will produce so they can be comfortable.

  • Cohabitation

Having built a structure that is convenient and well equipped for breeding, the next phase is to corral at least two villagers into the structure and then wall off the entrance to prevent them from wandering off or being attacked by raiders or hostile mobs.

  • Adequate food supply for villagers

Each villager has an independent inventory that is being used to store food items. In order for villagers to breed, they need the adequate supply of food which includes three loaves of bread, twelve carrots, twelve beetroots or potatoes in their inventory.

  • Giving food to the villagers

To give food to the villagers, all there need to be done is to drop it on the floor next to them… When the villagers walk over it, it will be added to their inventory. Once both villagers in close proximity have enough food in their inventory, they will be willing to breed and produce a baby villagers.

  • Breeding takes place

When two villagers decide to breed and grow a baby villagers, they face each other and hearts float all around them in the air and a baby villager will emerge.

If villagers fail to produce a baby villagers, you just keep trying and providing them more foods to keep them being willing to try again and produce a baby villager. Also after producing a baby villager, the willingness to produce another baby villagers wears off. They can still be kept in check by constantly providing them with adequate food supply in their inventory as it boosts their willingness level to produce a baby villager.

Also note, it takes a baby villager twenty minutes to mature into an adult. Baby villagers do not need to be around their parents to grow and survive. They can move about playing with other baby villagers.
